...at the final product for the 'prize' blog. Hey Christy - I need to get this to you! :) It's served as a nice decoration at my house for awhile! haha. Anyway, hope ya like it! And it's still a fridge magnet, but a bit bigger than the other, I think this is about 5" tall and 4" wide. Look for another 'prize' post SOON everyone!

Unusual Subjects

I haven't had very cooperating subjects as of late! Emma is refusing to get her picture taken, and Jake is fussy from his latest shots. I'm thinking it is a pretty sad day when I have to resort to taking pictures of the cat and Jake's toys... but what can one do? I'm DYING to use this new camera! Here is what I have gotten so far, hoping for a little photo shoot this afternoon, since we will be getting snowed in from the sounds of the weather man! :)

And as Carrie from the HBO series ' sex in the city' would say to a new pair of shoes.... "hello, lover"!

New Clubs!
Here's a post for my hubby - he bought himself a brand spankin' new set of golf clubs and he is just SO excited. So much so he was putting in the living room! He took Emma with him to the golf store and she even got to 'golf' in the simulator. Anyway - he returned with a brand new Adam's set! (Don't ask me what that is, I have no idea) Happy late birthday present honey! And thanks for the golf galaxy gift cards family!

What's Cleaning?
I should be cleaning... my house looks like we have ten kids, not two - like I never throw away the junk mail or old magazines and like the laundry fairy passed away. So instead what do I do? Well yesterday I made some incredibly delicious Apple Butter, and today I'm making some cards on request of my Nana. Sure beats cleaning! Maybe tomorrow...
Jake's on a {ROLL}
Jake is rolling, and rolling and rolling.... all over the place! He is even trying to scoot himself along while on his belly - seems like yesterday Emma hit this milestone. Where does the time go??

Sweet little voice
Emma sang this song all morning while we were all getting ready for church, so I asked her if Mommy could record her singing it and she quickly said "Oh! Sure! I'll go sit down on the couch so you can do it" :) So here she is... this is her favorite Sabbath School song. And though she knows the other verses, she never sings them. When I ask her why she just says "Because this is my favorite, just like this." So there you go! Just click the big 'play' button (you have to click it twice for whatever reason) Also you will get to here Jake's lovely talking toy say "Bye Bye" at the end, haha it suprised Emma. (And I temporarily removed my songs so that you don't have to mute them for this video)

FuNnY WoRdS
Today we had some regular old mixed veggies with our pasta - corn, green beans, peas, lima beans... Emma ate most of it just fine and I was helping her with her last two bites before she could get down and she said, "Mom, what is that?" (pointing to a lima bean) "It's called a lima bean Em." I replied a bit annoyed she wasn't eating her last two bites very well. I scooped up the first of the two bites for her and she pointed to the lima bean and shook her head "No, those lima bean things are only for mommies and daddies!!!" With quite the disgusted look on her face. It was very cute, and if you are around Emma much she isn't a picky eater at all and usually loves all veggies, so I said that if that was the only one she didn't like, I'm still one lucky mommy. I'll eat the lima beans.

Tomorrow is someone's {LuCkY dAy}
Ok! Tomorrow is the deadline for comments on the 'PRIZE' post! I think I have found the most fair way I can think of... I will count the posts putting them in order #1 being the first post made (dana)... to the greatest number being whoever comments last... does that make sense? ha! Then I will have Aaron pick a number between 1 and 8 (for example) - whichever number he chooses wins! And don't worry, he doesn't read the blog so there is no cheating on his end! At least I don't think he does... hmm. ;) Best of luck!

A Prize! a PRIZE!
I love this cutie magnet I made today ~ It's about 4" by 3" and I just went crazy with some scraps of paper/ribbon/embellishments. I must note that the buttons are vintage buttons from my Grandma Drury's button collection!
So here's the deal: You leave a comment on THIS post about your greatest 2007 memory ~ and I'll randomly select one, or maybe to make it super fair I'll make Aaron randomly select one ;) and if your the winner, I'll make you one of these with your own chosen letter! This could be a fun thing to start... I have seen it done on other blogs, and I'm thinking like a once a month thing. But anyway - so here's my first blog give-away. Get crazy commenting!! I'll give you till friday to post your comments. (PS - if you have forgotten or don't know how to post, email me and I"ll remind you, you don't have to have a blogger or google account, just click the 'comments' button in green right below this post and instead of entering an email and password, just comment and be SURE to leave your NAME at the bottom so I know who to announce as the WINNER! yay!) Get ready, set... GO!

Happy boys
During dinner with Aaron on his birthday I got to suprise him with the news that he and Nick would be flying flight simulators at Gowen Field. An awesome experience not everyone is able to have! I asked Aaron to take the camera along, and when I saw the pics they got I just laughed. In every single one they have this silly little boy grin on their faces. It was a great feeling to know they had so much fun!
{Special thanks to Bob and Ronnie for helping me pull that one off :) That'll be a hard suprise to top!}

Dear God
And though Emma was starting to drive me crazy and I was on a mission to get out of there, we had one last stop - I needed to pick up some thank-you cards. As I was looking at the bazillion choices, I hear Emma pick up a card and just as I turn to scold her I hear her 'reading' her card :
" Dear God, I'm your Princess. That's all "
It was sooo cute. The lady on the other side of the cards was really getting a chuckle as well. She gets this saying from a really cute DVD called 'Gigi - God's little princess'. Anyway. Just wanted to share, thought it was so precious!
NEW year!
Happy New Year
Friends & Family!!!
I hope you each live and love each day to the fullest in 2008!
