I love this cutie magnet I made today ~ It's about 4" by 3" and I just went crazy with some scraps of paper/ribbon/embellishments. I must note that the buttons are vintage buttons from my Grandma Drury's button collection!
So here's the deal: You leave a comment on THIS post about your greatest 2007 memory ~ and I'll randomly select one, or maybe to make it super fair I'll make Aaron randomly select one ;) and if your the winner, I'll make you one of these with your own chosen letter! This could be a fun thing to start... I have seen it done on other blogs, and I'm thinking like a once a month thing. But anyway - so here's my first blog give-away. Get crazy commenting!! I'll give you till friday to post your comments. (PS - if you have forgotten or don't know how to post, email me and I"ll remind you, you don't have to have a blogger or google account, just click the 'comments' button in green right below this post and instead of entering an email and password, just comment and be SURE to leave your NAME at the bottom so I know who to announce as the WINNER! yay!) I want one!!!!
My greatest memory from 2007.....I think it might be Colby's birthday party and him sliding down the slip and slide. That was the most fun I might have ever had with him because he was having the most fun he's ever had! I'm not sure if that's the greatest, but it's the first one that came to mind. But it DEFINITELY wasn't moving from Boise. :(
Great idea! My best memory of 2007 was seeing Ella for the first time. It's a feeling I can't describe other than to say that there are no words. That moment changed our lives in every way and I am loving every minute!
Good timing...I am glad I decided to check in and see what you guys were up too.
My best memory from 2007 was watching Jon hold Ethan for the first time.
My happiest 2007 memory would definitely be the birth of our little Brinley! She just rolled over for the first time today!! My second happiest memory was seeing Tina at her craft show....hee hee!! Did I win?? Love ya!

Hmm...my most favorite memory from 2007!! In August I flew to Boise where when I landed at the airport the most cheerful little girl I know SCREAMED my name in sheer delight and ran into my arms for a HUGE hug while her baby brother lay fast asleep in his stroller. The following three days proceeded to be some of the most fun I'd had all summer long! A fabulous dinner at an amazing restaurant with my cousins and their fabulous spouses, a girls day out on the town going in and out of boutiques while 'Little Man' slept the day away in the stroller once again! Buying gorgeous earrings and a huge blingy ring and a cute dress which two fantastic girls gave their approval to me about, and following that day, more shopping, holding Jake for the first time, making Jake laugh, watching Emma in her clickity shoes and cuddling during Shrek, and sharing my iPod with Kylie every morning when I woke up, and THEN a girls night out to P.F. Changs where I got to gush about my college life and get TONS of advice from two of my favorite lady's! Not to mention...finally understanding the movie, 'Deja Vu' after you're OH SO SMART and WISE husband explained all the physics and the way the world works to me, I had been SO confused by that movie before that night! Now I explain it to everyone. There you go!
Okay... can I give you the WORST one? :) That would be easy... the best is a LOT harder... especially since there are SO many fun things that happen around here in the course of a year... Okay... I am still thinking, I have till tomorrow right?
Well, my best memory of 2007 has to be one that happened just over four months ago... I will never forget the way I felt and the way the sky looked on the day that I got married. At about three different moments, throughout the chaos, I remember looking up and all around me and thinking, 'Is this real?' and being happier than I had ever been before. I remember the sheer excitement and relief when I heard the sound system test out our music for the first time, those songs I had so carefully chosen, and the way the music played loudly and crisply in that sunny air, and then turning to Ethan with tears of joy and wedding INSANITY, and in that hug- knowing I had found my soul mate. I remember the image of the sun setting between our little hop-covered arch and then looking out over a group of people whom I just love dearly! The best part about this particular memory is that it went on for a week! I could have had another couple months of it but I will cherish what was given me! Love you girl!

okay... this is SO hard because so many WONDERFUL things happened to our family in 2007... Birthdays, Super Bowl with friends... my grandma's 90th birthday party, Jack recovering from RSV, McKenna starting kindergarten, vacations to California, all the firsts of having another new baby :) date nights with my hubby, Disneyland & California Adventure, concerts, Scrapbooking convention, and just ALL the blessing that come with having 5 AMAZING kids... and well... I could TOTALLY go on.. but I don't want to bore the masses!!!
SO that said (drum roll please)...

the memory that stands out in my mind & likely my children (at least the girls) was right before Christmas when friends of the family organized families for us to give to. We shopped for food to put in food boxes, made witness bags for the homeless, and I purchased some coats to hand out. The girls helped to wrap everything . The day we handed it out I will never forget... the girls were scared at first to get out at the homeless shelter.. but when prompted did get out and passed out socks, beanies, gloves, etc. We were able to give out coats to some ladies that didn't have a warm jacket. Then we went to the home of our family... they had no heat, no beds and there were NINE people living in this house... They were so grateful for everything... and so were we. I think we received the best gift... and my family learned a valuable lesson in giving and being thankful for what we have. Ok, sorry that was a LOt longer than expected... its okay if I don't win... I KNOW you will make me one anyway! :) Love ya girl!
I want one with your babies in it!
........Ok. I am the 9th one.
Hooray. Keep warm!
